Jewellery designer, Jane Webb, set up Silver Web Jewellery in
response to customers in the 21st Century wanting one-off and
limited edition pieces in direct opposition to mass-production
and cheap imports.
Working from her workshop in Lincolnshire, Jane is constantly
adding new and exciting pieces of contemporary silver jewellery
to her range and so our website is updated regularly - see our
Whats New page for the latest additions. The affordability of
our jewellery will allow you to indulge (or indulge others) in
pieces which truly reflect your individuality.
Jane studied at Leeds University. Like many jewellers although
college provided the technical skills Jane believes the majority
of learning happens by experimenting and making. Jane has been
making jewellery for over 15 years and enjoys working in sterling
silver as it allows such flexibility and a wonderful contrast
of light and shade. As well as looking good and wearable she likes
the pieces to be tactile.
Jane says "Designing a piece of jewellery can be influenced
in so many ways, clients requirements, dreams, a picture - or
in the making of one piece another idea is born. I love having
the freedom to explore these opportunities rather than restrict
myself to a few ranges.
In this era of mass production I take great pleasure in creating
a true one-off, so I know there is only one in the World!"
