Commissions

Commissioning a piece of jewellery is a wonderful way of acquiring a wearable piece of art which is unique and personal.

Have an Idea?

Do you have a design or idea in mind for a piece of jewellery? All you need to turn your idea into reality is contact us to discuss options, materials, stones, delivery times and pricing.  Please do not ask me to produce something you have seen elsewhere.

Recreation of a Piece from the Website

If you have seen a piece on the website you like but the original piece has been sold or you have seen something that is almost what you're after and you just want to change the stone or the size just ask us to create a similar piece.

To discuss the recreation of a piece, call 01529 241317 or send an email with the reference number, if you wish to discuss your ideas in detail please include your phone number and a convenient time for us to call.

As all the work is hand crafted there will be slight differences.  As we like to protect the uniqueness of each piece we will discuss with you incorporating variations such as different stone etc.

A brief outline of the commissioning process:

1.  It all starts with an email or phone call.  Although it is great to be able to meet face to face, it is not essential and most of our commission work takes place over the phone and email.  During the first consultation we will discuss the ideas you have, the colours you like, and of course, timescale and budget.

2.  We will then produce a maximum of three sketches from which you choose the final design.  We ask for a sketch deposit of £40 at this stage to cover our time - this will be deducted from your final bill.   The sketches are based on the ideas discussed in the initial consultation.

At the end of this stage we will have a unique design that is exactly what you want and within your budget. We will then ask for a 50% non-refundable deposit to cover materials, the balance is payable on delivery. Please note all designs remain the property of Jane Webb t/a Silver Web Jewellery.

3. If your piece involves gemstones, we will source them for you, we may offer you a choice of stone at this stage.  Your commission will then be made and sent to Sheffield Assay Office for hallmarking.

Commissioned jewellery usually takes about 6-8 weeks from agreed sketches to final delivery, depending upon the complexity of the piece and the time of year.

Simple - so what are you waiting for!!
